I was reminded yesterday to trust in myself and the feelings that have been pulling at my heart in recent weeks. As I've mentioned in another post I've had a strong push to start writing and sharing with you all. However, I've also doubted myself and the thought that this is the next chapter in my life. You see our society is so fast paced and almost forcing us to want everything immediately. Our children are being trained to want everything now and have little patience for the hard work and journey that you often take before accomplishing a goal or earning the end result. Yesterday I unexpectedly shared a powerful moment with a co-worker that not only opened my eyes but reassured me that I'm on the right path. She reminded me to enjoy and trust in the moments that are occurring and that at times we feel like we want to give up our doubt our dreams, but that it's all part of the journey. You see, we have all have big dreams for ourselves, wish so often for the future that we forget to accomplish our dreams we face struggles and bumps in the road. This is when people often give up. We need to learn to enjoy the present moments and the journey that we are on and that it is at times difficult.
Today I want to remind you to enjoy your present moments. These moments speed past us and we don't often enjoy them the way we should. We want to rush to the finish line, but forget that the joy is in the journey and what we learn and gain along the way. Think about it. What would a marathon be if you didn't have to train and struggle along the way? Would there be any joy in the accomplishment? Would there be any feeling of success and conquering the challenge if you didn't fight for those 26.2 miles? No. It would be a sprint or a 5K race. However, to build up our stamina, strength, and endurance we need to run the sprint, to train for the 5K, and to first run a 1/2 marathon. Those smaller moments and journeys are what bring us to being able to run a marathon. They are part of the process to get us to the bigger picture. Each step along the way, each race and journey is part of the puzzle. The smaller adventures, the present moments when put together make the whole picture.
So instead of rushing through each day enjoy the small moments. Enjoy the journey and adventure that awaits you, because in the journey, through the struggles, you grow. You learn. You become a better version of yourself. Each piece of the puzzle is important, but the journey to find those pieces, to build the puzzle, to finish the race is what makes us whole.
Be present in today. You are right where you are meant to be. Remember that God doesn't make mistakes. He has your journey and adventure planned out for you and each piece is important and part of what gets you to the end of the race. In the end you will see why each adventure, person, and piece of your puzzle was important and how it got you to the end and just what you were destined for.
~Much Love
xoxo
